The M Lock Utility (LKE), examines and modifies the lock database where GT.M maintains the current lock status. LKE is invoked to monitor the locking mechanism or to remove locks causing a deadlock. Although not normally required, LKE can also clean up locks resulting from the abnormal termination of a process.
