MUNICH, Germany – Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS), a worldwide leader in processing and technology solutions for financial institutions, announced today that its KORDOBA division has implemented K-CORE24 on a UNIX operating platform for its outsourcing customer, Cortal Consors S.A., Germany.
With its modular structure and extensive functionality, K-CORE24 is a market-leading, comprehensive, core banking software solution that can accommodate a broad range of business requirements for deposit and loan products. K-CORE24 is platform-independent, with both multi-currency and multi-language capabilities.
Cortal Consors, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, is a leading direct bank in Europe, offering private financial investment and online trading in six European countries.
“This project completes our migration to a modern and highly flexible operating platform,” said Martin Daut, chief executive officer of Cortal Consors Germany. “With KORDOBA’s outsourced solution, we were able to significantly reduce our IT costs. The application architecture also allows us to react to sudden ups and downs in the trading markets while supporting innovative banking products.”
KORDOBA also offers K-Global Securities (K-GS), which supports all securities-related processes with real-time, process-oriented and 24/7 capabilities – from the sales front end to order management and back office. KORDOBA has operated K-GS in a UNIX environment on behalf of Cortal Consors since October 2005. K-GS supports Cortal Consors’ trading platform. Both K-GS and K-CORE24 run in a tightly integrated fashion.
“Installing K-CORE24 on a UNIX operating platform for Cortal Consors is an important milestone for KORDOBA and all of our customers,” said Barry Dark, managing director of KORDOBA. “Throughout the implementation phase, Cortal Consors has been an ideal partner for validating the investment we have made in K-CORE24 over the last three years. We are currently working through similar upgrade projects with many of our current customers, and this milestone gives banks a proven option they can use to lower IT costs, support process improvement and drive business innovation.”
