JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Fidelity National Information Services® (FIS™), a global leader in processing and technology solutions for financial institutions, today announced that Bank of Virginia has selected FIS’ BancPac core processing solution in conjunction with other integrated FIS solutions, including item image capture, item processing, statement rendering and more.

BancPac can be fully integrated with a suite of modules designed to expedite new account origination, as well as create and maintain a successful sales culture throughout the bank, resulting in greatly improved communications, streamlined administrative functions and a complete snapshot of the sales and service pipeline. And because BancPac’s Windows®-based, open-systems architecture runs on a financial institution’s existing hardware infrastructure, converting to BancPac does not require investment in expensive mainframe hardware nor code to be rewritten, which can be lengthy and cumbersome. This makes BancPac a very attractive solution for the community bank market. By leveraging existing hardware systems and true client-server technology, BancPac delivers one of the most efficient, easy-to-use and cost-effective systems for core bank processing available in the market today.

Chartered in 2002 and headquartered in Midlothian, Va., near Richmond, the Bank of Virginia is a service-centered financial institution serving its neighbors in the communities of Chesterfield and Henrico counties through five full-service branches.

As new clients of FIS, Bank of Virginia sent representatives to InfoShare, the FIS client conference held in Orlando, Fla. last month, to collaborate with other FIS clients and learn more about FIS’ comprehensive array of products and services.

“Participating in InfoShare really gave us an opportunity to see the commitment every FIS employee has to their customers and the true ‘family’ atmosphere,” said Ann-Cabell Williams, senior vice president, retail executive for Bank of Virginia. “The flexibility and commitment to excellence by FIS shown bright, assuring us we’d make the right choice in selecting FIS to help take Bank of Virginia to the next level.”

“The unique BancPac infrastructure, open architecture and ease of integration make it a perfect fit for a financial institution such as Bank of Virginia – one that is committed to providing unmatched service to its customers,” said James A. Susoreny, FIS executive vice president. “We’re happy to add Bank of Virginia as another satisfied BancPac customer and look forward to helping them meet their financial technology needs as they continue to grow.”
