Web Development Services
A well-designed Web site communicates your image, promotes your business and enables you to stay connected with your clients. With many years of experience and a team of experts, Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS) can help you develop, deploy and maintain your Internet presence. Our proven approach is flexible, affordable and backed by the service and support your need to be successful online.
Because we provide full integration with our core processing solutions, you can rest assured your clients will have access to your services whenever and wherever they need it.
We’ll start by helping you define your goals, business needs and market strategy and then recommend an approach based on this analysis. We offer two options.
With our standard option, you choose a look and feel from among our existing sites and then choose from a host of options: home page appearance, colors, navigation bars, button design, links, financial calculators and more. In fact, we offer so many choices, it’s almost as if we’re designing a custom site, but at a substantially lower cost. Of course, you provide the content describing your institution, products and services.
With our custom option, we’ll work closely with you to create an online presence that precisely reflects your institution’s unique brand image. Together, we’ll explore various approaches and designs, develop a site map, prepare preliminary layouts, create special forms and work through the various decisions that will result in a dynamic site unlike any other. We can even include dynamic tables driven by a database. This feature ensures that visitors to your site will always see your most current rates, prices and requirements – even job openings.
Whether you choose the standard or custom option, you will be continually involved in reviewing our progress so that, when the site is complete, it fully meets your expectations. Once it’s operational, we provide ongoing maintenance services to keep it up to date and in line with your evolving offerings.

Security, privacy, availability, compliance, daily monitoring – to keep your Web site up to date and working properly, someone in your organization has to deal with these time-consuming, daily demands. As an alternative, let Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS) host your Web site. We have the technical infrastructure and the professional experience to handle it for you while you turn back to the mission-critical duties of operating your financial institution.
Our Web-hosting services are backed by the power of our state-of-the-art data center – the same center that supports the needs of thousands of core processing clients. We have industry-leading expertise in delivering physical and logistical security and data protection.
FIS not only can do it all for you, but also provides you the tools to build and upload your own Web pages. We provide a staging library so you can do the work yourself as changes and additions become necessary.
Hosting Service Plans
Because every institution is unique, we offer four plans, from basic service to a high-capacity custom service offering. These plans offer different configurations of disk storage, static Web pages and monthly page-view rates. All plans provide a Web site management console, access statistics, 24/7 monitoring and daily backups.
Secure Architecture
To protect your sensitive data, all of our Internet servers are concealed behind several firewalls, eliminating direct system access from the Internet. We also use 128-bit SSL encryption, a process that exchanges numbers between the end-user’s browser and the FIS Web hosting server so secure communication can take place. We’ll obtain both your 128-bit SSL certificate and provide domain name management services, freeing you of the responsibility of renewals.

Advanced Authentication
Internet security and financial services industry experts agree: New layers of security must continually be developed to combat the threat of identity and financial account data theft. More and more, technically savvy criminals are using techniques such as phishing (using fraudulent e-mails to trick consumers into revealing account numbers and passwords) and pharming (invisibly sending consumers to fraudulent banking Web sites).
In light of increased exploitation and deceptive online activities, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s (FFIEC) guidance advises financial institutions that single-factor authentication may not provide sufficient protection for Internet-based financial services. FIS recommends that you take online security to the next level with FIS Advanced Authentication.
Advanced Authentication creates a fortified online banking and bill-pay experience that builds trust and confidence on all sides. Its unique design uses mutual authentication techniques: The system authenticates the user, and the user authenticates the Web site. In a simple authentication scenario, reliance on a user ID and password alone can leave a system – and the online user – vulnerable to attack. FIS Advanced Authentication combines the best of multitiered, real-time, risk-based authentication tools with fraud-detecting artificial intelligence for stronger, improved layers of online security, without compromising ease or convenience. Legitimate users aren’t penalized with undue security measures, but risky users and behaviors
undergo more rigorous examination. Users do not have to install additional hardware or software to be protected.
Features
FIS’ Advanced Authentication is the leading-edge authentication solution. Its powerful, real-time fraud prevention strategies include:
- Two-factor authentication
- Mutual (two-way) authentication
- Real-time, risk-based analysis
- Shared fraud-data network
- Management and reporting
Benefits
Your clients need to know that online banking and bill pay are safe. FIS Advanced Authentication uses mutual authentication to assure users that they are at your institution’s Web site and not a clever counterfeit.
- During enrollment, users are issued (and can customize and change regularly) a secret image and text phrase known only to themselves and your institution
- Once the device is verified, the secret image is shown to the user
- When the user sees the personalized mark, they can confidently enter their password and log in
How It Works
FIS Advanced Authentication uses artificial authentication intelligence to make real-time fraud decisions based on device recognition and shared data. Here’s how it works:
- Every computer or device accessing an FIS Advanced Authentication-protected Web site receives a unique device ID that is stored redundantly on the device, using multiple simultaneous methods
- FIS Advanced Authentication’s real-time risk management engine uses customizable and self-learning algorithms to silently categorize visitors into three categories: good, bad or uncertain, based on the device ID plus a shared fraud-data network
- Good users – Those logging in from a tagged, known device and with a clean data record log in as usual
- Uncertain users – Users such as a good user logging in from a different computer are presented with automated supplemental authentication, such as answering a secret question previously established by the user
- Bad users – Those logging in from an unknown device with a suspicious or fraudulent data history or those failing the “uncertain” test – trigger immediate anti-fraud actions
