With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services arena, Tony Ficarra has spent the majority of his career focused on electronic business. In his current role as senior vice president of electronic banking, Ficarra capably guides the company’s eBanking product strategy and directs a number of teams that help clients drive their ATM systems, produce debit cards and offer Internet banking. Under Ficarra’s direction, FIS IFS has also moved into Web design, development and hosting; electronic delivery of customer statements; ISP services; and a comprehensive suite of network services.

Ficarra served as chief information officer for Aurum Technology, which was acquired by FIS in 2004. Previously, he also held the position of CIO for a leading financial services outsourcing firm. In that role, he was responsible for consumer and commercial electronic access to financial institution services, and he directed the development of high-capacity ATM switches in the United States and Europe.

Ficarra holds a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Florida International University.
