
Thomas Palmer serves as one of two managing directors for the Mortgage Servicing division of Fidelity National Information Services (FIS). He is responsible for one half of the Mortgage Servicing division’s client base, including contract negotiations, delivery of products and services and maintaining client satisfaction.
Prior to joining FIS, Palmer served in a variety of key capacities which have contributed to his strong foundation in sales and operations, including national wholesale, retail, consumer direct and correspondent lending.
Palmer has over 26 years in the mortgage industry and is a proven leader in growth-oriented organizations. He began his career in 1977 with SouthTrust Mortgage Corporation. He joined BancBoston Mortgage Corporation in 1986, where he served as executive vice president, assisting with the merger of five companies and the creation of the wholesale and correspondent production divisions. Other senior roles include serving as COO/executive vice president at American Home Funding, where he assisted with the establishment of a wholesale production and direct consumer lending division and executive vice president at Fleet Mortgage, where he successfully expanded the distribution channels, sales force and new product development.
Palmer received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Auburn University with a major in accounting. He has served as president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Florida. Palmer also served as a member of the Fannie Mae Southeastern Advisory Board, the Fannie Mae Southwestern Advisory Board and the Freddie Mac Advisory Board.
