
With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services arena, Tony Ficarra has spent most of his career focused on electronic business systems and participated in the evolution of the various components of the payment system. Today, he leads all areas of FIS’ electronic channels, including EFT/debit, retail and commercial electronic banking. In addition, Ficarra oversees all debit and credit fraud operations and provides support for FIS’ “secured by” products. His organization provides FIS clients with the broadest base of electronic channels available in the industry today.
Ficarra has been involved in the development and operation of multiple high- capacity ATM/debit switches in the U. S. and Europe and has directed the development and operation of a number of consumer and commercial electronic access channels connecting consumers to their core banking applications.
He was the CIO of Aurum Technology which was acquired by FIS in 2004. Prior to that, he was EVP and CIO of a major international electronic services company. Early in his career, he was an executive at a major U.S. financial services company with responsibility for research and development and electronic banking systems.
Ficarra holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Florida International University.
