Implementation

The implementation team develops and manages a detailed timeline for every Fidelity Data Services conversion. New clients are converted utilizing two critical objectives:

  1. The customers of the client are not aware their financial institution is undergoing a conversion.
  2. The employees of the customer are not impacted by the conversion process.

To meet these objectives, Fidelity Data Services created a project management timeline that includes every conversion aspect:

  • Test tapes
  • Test conversion
  • Installation and testing of data lines and communication equipment
  • Data audits
  • Training
  • Interface development and testing
  • Mock conversion
  • Live conversion

Fidelity Data Services has recently completed conversions that included not only core processing but also branch connectivity, item processing, check imaging and ATM processing. All systems were in balance and on-line day one. Senior management of these banks have described these conversions as "near flawless".
