Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)

BPO is when a company contractually delegates or moves some of its operations or processes to a third party company. The original company retains ownership and responsibility for the process and its performance while working closely with the BPO supplier to ensure that the process is performed properly and within the guidelines and agreed upon service levels. Some common examples of BPO processes are customer service, administrative functions, accounting and collections.
