With nearly twenty years of legal expertise, Ronald Cook is senior vice president and general counsel for Fidelity National Information Services (FIS). Prior to coming to FIS, Cook served as senior vice president and associate general counsel, providing and managing the delivery of legal services for payment processing and risk management services to Certegy’s clients worldwide. His primary areas of focus included commercial transactions, consumer credit, collections, litigation, mergers, acquisitions, technology licensing, banking and privacy.

Cook served as assistant vice president and associate group counsel for Equifax, Inc., before founding a Tampa law firm – specializing in corporate governance, acquisitions, telecommunications, intellectual property, banking, collections, privacy and commercial transactions.

A skilled arbitrator and mediator, Cook is certified by the Florida Supreme Court and is an active member of the American Arbitration Association and the Florida Bar Association. His writings have been published by the University of Southern California Law Review, Computer Law Journal.

Cook holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor degree from the Stetson University College of Law. He resides outside of Tampa with his wife and two children.
