Gary Norcross
President and Chief Operations Officer of Transaction Processing Services (TPS), Fidelity National Information Services, Inc.

Gary Norcross, President, Fidelity Integrated Financial Solutions

Gary Norcross, as president and chief operations officer of the Transaction Processing Services division of Fidelity National Information Services (FIS), is the division's senior-most executive responsible for the financial institution market segments. With a reputation of being intensely customer focused while maximizing the performance of his business units, Norcross has taken the division from fewer than 100 to more than 9,000 clients since assuming the leadership role in 1996.

Norcross believes in establishing a sound, well-focused business strategy from the start, and then staying the course so it can achieve its objectives – an approach that has worked well for the division, which has enjoyed yearly double-digit growth under his direction.

Over the past several years, his strong leadership has resulted in the acquisition of Aurum Technology, BankWare, InterCept, Marketing Solutions, Inc. and eFunds, as well as the 2006 merger with Certegy, all significant moves that increased the division’s size to just over 5,000 employees and $1.2 billion in annual revenues. Norcross' goal of becoming the number one provider of banking technologies to community-based financial institutions was realized late last year with the release of the 2006 FinTech rankings published by Financial Insights and American Banker.

With a career start in the mortgage business, Norcross joined Systematics, Inc. in 1988 as a systems engineer. He quickly moved into management roles in software development and client leadership, and his rapid rise continued after Systematics’ acquisition by ALLTEL Corporation in 1991. In 1996, he was promoted to senior vice president/general manager of the company’s community bank segment, and shortly thereafter to president of the Integrated Financial Solutions division. He was the clear choice to continue to lead the division upon ALLTEL’s acquisition by FIS in 2003.
